"Learning how to learn is life's most important skill"
Tony Buzan
Teachers evaluating students mind-maps to choose the winner according to the criteria mentioned above. The results will be announced Sunday of next week. Each mind-map was checked and evaluated by all teachers. Next week we will post the winning mind-map. The forms that were designed by Mr. Oybek helped us focus on the main objective behind the whole contest.
We want students to use mind-maps to learn English and to help them learn practical skills to continue learning. Mind-maps are not hard to learn, but we need to implement them every week, if we want it to become a learning habit.

Continent/Country Factsheet posters
Country factsheet project / Objective 3 from Unit 11 of Blue Book
Students have been working on a project about a country of their choosing since the beginning of the week. They were put into groups of three, choosing a continent for their own group. They then chose a country each to find information about. Once their research was completed, they produced an A3 factsheet poster showing the details of their findings. They will present the poster and use Google Earth as a visual aid in their discussions to the class.

info map project
In the previous two weeks the students worked in groups to learn geography around the world outside of the Middle East. In conjunction with a brainstorm mindmap, the students also made an information map to aid in visual communication of presenting what they found out about another country that was interesting in wanting to visit and about the country's natural surroundings.

Week 15 curriculum meeting summary
" if everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself"
Henry Ford
We explored how the project ideas on the Interchange resources website can be used in Project Based Language Learning. We created a weekly plan for one of the topics to be covered in the following weeks based on these ideas.
We gathered the names of the Presentation contest winner students from each class. Week 16 will be the College Stage Presentation Contest. The College Level Presentations will be held week 16 on Wednesday, 16 December in the Auditorium.
I would like to thank Mr. Oybek for his help and support and for keeping us informed of the important topics related to the curriculum, and I would like to thank all the teachers for their continuous help and support.
